Der mettermalt® Kanonenfieber Grabentrunk „Menschenmühle“ Whisky ist die erste limitierte Abfüllung der fesslermill1396 Destillerie zusammen mit der Blackened Death-Metal Band Kanonenfieber.
Der Grabentrunk besteht aus regionalem Getreide, welches in der hauseigenen über 630 Jahre alten Fessler Mühle nach alter Handwerkskunst auf dem Schrotgang aus dem Jahre 1870 mit 700kg schweren Mahlsteinen vermahlen wurde. Nach der Destillation reifte der Single Malt Whisky für 6 Jahre in einem Eichenfass im Warehouse der Destillerie. Für den Whisky wird heimisches Wasser aus der örtlichen alwa-Quelle verwendet, der Herstellungsprozess findet durch eigene Wasserkraft mittels einer Wasserturbine aus dem Jahre 1947 und Photovoltaik klimaneutral statt. Der Whisky ist unfiltriert.
Die fesslermill1396 Destillerie wurde bereits mehrfach ausgezeichnet und im Jahr 2023 bei der Landesprämierung zum besten Whiskybrenner des Jahres 2023 gekürt.

The mettermalt® Kanonenfieber Grabentrunk „Menschenmühle“ whisky is the first limited-edition bottling from the fesslermill1396 distillery in collaboration with the blackened death metal band Kanonenfieber.
The Grabentrunk is made from regional grain, milled using traditional methods in the distillery’s own 630-year-old Fessler mill on the 1870 millstones, which weigh 700 kg. After distillation, the single malt whisky matured for six years in an oak cask in the distillery’s warehouse. The whisky is made with water from the local alwa spring, and the production process is climate-neutral, powered by the distillery’s own hydroelectric turbine (dating from 1947) and photovoltaics. The whisky is unfiltered.
The fesslermill1396 distillery has already received several awards and was named the best whisky distiller of the year 2023 at the state awards ceremony.
